12/05/2007: "CAN THIS DAY BE ANY FUCKING WORSE?"
So 30 minutes into driving on the 10 I get called back to the office. So no set visit for me today. A shame since the catering there would have been better than California Pizza Kitchen we had today. There was also a rumor that there were possibly Asians on set, so I'm doubly pissed.
Bah. But it gets better. . .
So I'm on Facebook and one of my friends posted a link to The 20 Ugliest Colleges in the USA and I'm thinking, oh dear, please please please please please, not today, as I kinda knew in my heart that if this listmaker had done his research my old alma mater would be in there somewhere (the campus architecture was always a complaint amongst my photography teachers) so I slowly put my mouse over the link, took a deep breath and clicked.
Number 17. Congratulations, fellow Bombers.
My friend Matthew said it best once, something along the lines of standing in the long shadow of the Ivy.
This is the best song I know of about the beloved city where I chose to spend 4 years shivering and watching movies as an academic pursuit.

It's actually not about Ithaca but about Hurrican Katrina. Whatever.
