My name is Terry and this is my blog.

I am currently living in Los Angeles.

I like films, music, and don't even get me started on long walks on the beach.

I don't read a lot of books, but am always fishing for book recommendations.

My parents are Vietnamese and I was born in America.

That's all you really need to know upfront.

12/07/2007: "Yeah . . . Maybe Not Today"

There's a lot going on today, but I think it's just time for me to head on home and make myself some dinner.

Atonement opens today and I'll probably see it next week and probably declare it my Best Movie of 2007 on the fact that it's one of those big epic love story's set in England. Plus, I read the book a few years ago when everybody else was reading it and liked it a lot.

Then again, Transformers was pretty fucking awesome and the Bourne Ultimatum had some pretty sweet fight scenes. And Harry Potter was kinda dope too. I don't really care too much for independent film anymore (does anyone still refer to the genre as "indie"). Give me escape, not reality.

Here's song that often gets overlooked in the Church's catalog, because let's face it, the only song you probably know is Under the Milky Way. I was listening to the song last night and kept thinking . . . "Man, this is epic. Kinda like what Atonement will be like and what Cold Mountain was."

Caveat Emptor - it's kind of a crappy video and it's the single edit, which kinda removes some of the songs awesomeness/power.

p.s. I was kidding about the whole independent film thing. I actually enjoyed Blades of Glory a lot.
